Russian oil exports jump, RDIF warns against “warmonger” talk

(MENAFN) Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, emphasized a notable increase in Russian oil exports in December, while warning against “fake warmonger narratives” influencing policy.

“Facts matter — Russian oil product exports have significantly increased. Fake warmonger narratives are bad for decision-making,” Dmitriev wrote on social media, commenting on recent export figures.

Data shows Russia shipped roughly 2.15 million barrels per day of oil products in December, marking an 11% rise from November and the highest monthly level since August, as well as a 36% increase compared with earlier periods.

The growth is largely driven by diesel shipments, despite ongoing Western sanctions and price caps on Russian energy exports. The Kremlin has shifted supplies to alternative markets in Asia and other regions to maintain revenue flows.
