Moscow Court Fines Google for Failing to Block Prohibited Content

(MENAFN) A Moscow court on Tuesday fined Google 11.4 million rubles ($145,000) for failing to block access to certain prohibited content, ruling that the company had violated Russian law.

Google has previously faced fines in Russia for similar issues, including failing to remove banned content, not localizing user data, and other violations. On February 27, the company was fined 16 billion rubles for not paying prior penalties.
